Shorelight Redesign

Shorelight Education helps international students apply to and succeed at our client universities.

I managed Contentful backend for templatized web build (21 schools x 3 grad levels) for new student-first version of the website. Project included cross collaboration with seven internal teams and an external design agency, massive data collection + QA correction, copywriting/editing, and database sync or manual entry of 10,000+ field inputs (program names, majors/minors offered, application deadlines, housing options, tuition rates, city info, student success stories, and more).

Worked with engineering on Salesforce sync (and sigh!) and manual entry of 10,000+ field inputs (program names, majors/minors offered, application deadlines, housing options, tuition rates, city info, student success stories, and more) for 20 schools x grad level toggle.

MBS UX + Site Redesign

MBS/Barnes & Noble Education—Textbooks.com’s parent company—builds and manages brick and mortars and online bookstores for more than 1,000 K-12 schools and colleges, including SNHU. Our team redesigned the online bookstore experience, which was templatized for efficiencies, while being customizable depending on school offers, messaging, and more. The UX strategy was to provide a guided, easy path; integrate each school’s course catalog (to minimize mistakes and returns); and simplify the cart flow. Direct partnerships with each school allowed us to sync the course catalog and required/recommended books for each student. Amazon can’t do that. 

Dynamic Bookstore Redesign

Online Bookstore Home Page - simplified "this is easy" messaging with dynamic use case modules. Templatized approach accommodated upwards 1000+ schools' imagery, university colors, messaging and CTAs (financial aid verbiage, shipping promos, etc)

Textbooks.com UX + Site Experience

Collaborated with engineering, design, BA, marketing, product, customer service, and analytics for site redesign. The creative director lightened up the design and I refreshed copy on all verticals, plus my account, FAQs, product pages, tool tips, cart flow, interstitials, partner offers, and dynamic use-case messaging.

America’s Test Kitchen UX + QAT

Foodie geek-out alert! Worked with engineering, product, editorial, and project management on complex three-site redesign for the PBS cooking shows America’s Test Kitchen, Cook’s Country, and Cook’s Illustrated. Worked with developers to QAT complex subscription/free trial structure, logged in/logged out scenarios, dynamic use-case messaging, promo offers, interstitials, and viewable content. Reorganized, edited, and rewrote Zendesk help desk FAQs. Managed Google retargeting ads project, 700+ assets and 16 customer segments. Assisted project manager and dev with bug tracking and resolution, QAT protocols for use-case scenarios, and stakeholder signoffs. 

Textbooks.com SEO + Meta Tag Project

Refreshed SEO and refined brand voice on more than 300 pages, including verticals, category pages, product pages, meta tags, titles, and blurbs. Worked closely with marketing manager to implement SEO/KW best practices, while freshening brand voice and tone.
