I wrote for the Metro newspaper from 2002-2012. While there, I was the editor for T Time, a popular calendar section, for 2 years, and authored the weekly Club Picks music column for 5+ years.
Versatility and 10 pm-publishing agility were the name of the game at the Metro. Hamburgers, jukeboxes, craft fairs, toilet seat art (!), futons, indie bands, not-so-indie bands, TV shows, and umbrellas were just a few topics I wrote on. Yup, 400 words on umbrellas.
